Here are some useful resources for hiking and walks in nature:

1. AllTrails - a website and app that provides trail maps, reviews, and photos from community of hikers. 

2. Finger Lakes Trail- The mission of the FLTC is “… to build, protect, enhance, and promote a continuous footpath across New York State for the enjoyment and health of residents and visitors. Forever!” The FLTC was founded in 1962. 

3. Leave No Trace - The Primary Principles in helping to maintain the environment while hiking and camping for the next generations.
4. New York State DEC
  - Great State Resource and specifically for information on Forest and Trees.

5. NYS Parks - NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation is a state agency.

6. National Park Service - the official website for the US National Park Service, which provides information on hiking trails and other outdoor activities in national parks.

Documents

Please review these documents prior to booking a hike.

This is a list of items to bring on your hike: 

  • Sneakers that can get muddy or hiking boots

  • Comfortable socks, maybe an extra pair

  • Water bottle; preferably carried in small backpack/string bag so your hands are free

  • Light snack; apple/snack-bar/orange/trail mix

  • Bug spray and/or bug net

  • Sunscreen and/or hat

  • Rain jacket

  • Bandana or tissues

Cancellation Policy:  We will hike in the rain, however if there is severe weather we will cancel

Transportation Waiver - Transportation not currently offered.
